Virtual Science & Technology Festival: Salt Crystal Experiment In-Person
For elementary school ages and families, join us virtually via YouTube.
Join us for a virtual Science & Technology Festival event hosted by the Carson City Library! Today we'll be sharing how to complete an exciting science experiment. Learn how to grow salt crystals overnight using household items! Email creativelearning@carsoncitylibrary.org to receive a link for our DIY video. This activity can be done at your own pace and at a time that's most convenient for you! This program is hosted in partnership with Empire Elementary School.
Supplies Needed:
- Epsom Salt
- Water
- Pebble or Sand
- Food Coloring (optional)
- Clear Glass Jar
- Measuring Cup
- Spoon
The 3-day Science & Technology Festival event also includes stop motion animation on Tuesday (4/28) and a science storytime at 4PM on Wednesday (4/29)!
