Virtual Family Reading Program: The Lion & the Mouse In-Person
For families with children not yet in elementary school:
Through a partnership with the Northern Nevada Literacy Council (NNLC), the Carson City Library helps families read and learn together. This program enables parents to improve their children's literacy skills and model positive family literacy behaviors at home. The Library is also introducing families to Mind in the Making which focuses on seven essential life skills every child needs and Vroom is a free app for parents to help practice these skills in everyday life.
Today's book is The Lion and the Mouse by Jerry Pinkney and is available for checkout. Activity handouts are available to download below.
