Connecting Kids to Coverage with The Children's Cabinet
A Children's Cabinet Community Health Worker will be onsite at the Carson City Library providing application assistance for CHIP, SNAP, TANF and WIC.

Medicaid and Nevada Checkup (CHIP): Health insurance for children and teens up to age 19 who live in low-income households.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP): Assistance to millions of eligible, low-income individuals and families.
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF): Welfare program that provides cash benefits to families with children in order to cover basic needs such as food, shelter, and clothing.
Women Infants and Children (WIC): Healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to health and other social services to income eligible pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, and infants and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk.
